AppBase is a platform-as-a-service (PAAS) software system specifically designed as a PAAS infrastructure for the development, management, and delivery of dynamic case management applications.
Due to the inherent complexity of those applications, the process of development is resource consuming. Therefore, the purpose of AppBase is to considerably reduce the expense required to create such applications and reduce the cost of maintenance for an application’s entire lifecycle.
AppBase provides many services and tools that enable business users to maintain their business applications in a simple, easy-to-use, and unified fashion.
The AppBase design and runtime environment consists of a browser based UI and back-end services that support all necessary functionality. A significant part of application development can be performed using the web-based UI and covers most use cases. However, there may be instances when an application requires direct interaction with a back-end service or data access that is more sophisticated than Appbase’s out-of-the box functionality. To accommodate this requirement, AppBase provides a Developer API.
The AppBase Developer API exposes the power of the AppBase system using a simple, web-based interface that can be called from any application platform. Using the AppBase API, you can access back- end services, obtain specific data, or execute a customized request.
This user guide includes everything you need to know to begin using the API on your development platform of choice. Consult our Help pages for instructions on how to request an API key.
