Active Directory is a directory/Authentication service found on most Window Servers. This section covers how to synchronize users in an Active Directory with AppBase. Authentication for latter users will be through the Active Directory

Add New Active Directory Configuration

This section assumes the user has a Connection String, Username, and Password corresponding to the Active Directory. Please see Network Administrator to receive the appropriate data.

  1. Login to AppBase with a User that has access to System Setup
  2. Go to System Setup 

  3. Click on User Management in the Navigation Menu (left side), then click on Active Directories 

  4. Click on New AD Configuration and enter appropriate information. Can also specify group filters (Like employee)

  5. Click Save

Sync With Active Directory

  1. Go to Users in User Management
  2. Click on Sync with Active Directory on the tool bar 
  3. After AppBase has finished Synchronizing click on Refresh  on the toolbar
  4. The Users from the Active Directory will populate the user section 

  5. Can now Assign roles to the users
  6. NOTE: The usernames and passwords to log into AppBase are the same as the Active Directory
